    3. David W. (Dave) Brown (c. l858-l923) married first Mollie Robertson or Robinson. They had three children: Ella, b. abt. l882; Maggie, b. l884; and James David (Jim) Brown (b. l886) They lived in Lamar Co. AL My grandfather, Jim Brown, said his mother died when or shortly after he was born. The two older siblings were too young to remember anything about their mother, also. Dave Brown remarried in l888 to Mary Shearon. Dave and Mary had one child, Lillie, and Mary died in child birth. Dave Brown married a third time to Margaret Johnson in l892 in Lamar County. They had three sons, Albert, Jesse, and Charley. My grandfather never knew a mother except a "step-mother." He was never able to learn anything about his biological mother, her name and surname, only that she was "Mollie" and was a Robertson or Robinson. Someone showed him after he grew up where his mother was buried in an unmarked grave at Ebenezer Methodist Church Cem. in Lamar Co. AL. By the time he was able to get a tombstone, the trees in the cemetery had grown, the landscape so different, that he was unable to find her grave again. Is there a list of burials at Ebenezer? Does the church have old records that might tell of her death and burial? Does anyone know anything about this Lamar County family? My grandfather had only one picture of Mollie, said to be the only known picture of her. He adored that picture as long as he lived and it hung by his bed. I inherited the picture and I adore it. In honor of my grandfather, I am trying to learn something about "Mollie" her life and family. If anyone has any information that will help, I shall be very grateful. Please help me if you can! Thanks. Eugenia ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1
