ALLEN b: January 20, 1861 .... 2 Sarah F. ALLEN b: 1864 .... 2 William R. ALLEN b: 1867 .... 2 Evangelina ALLEN b: 1869 I have found GW & Winnie Loftis Allen in the 1860 Fayette Co. census and in the 1870 Sanford Co., AL census. In the 1860 Fayette Co., AL census, they are living right next door to Thomas and Nancy Allen, also both b. NC, and I suspect that the could be GW Allen's parents. I had already found where GW Allen and Winnie M. Loftis Allen were buried at Meadow Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lamar Co., AL, but wasn't certain they were "mine" until I received their daughter's death certificate (Nancy Milton Allen Robertson) which confirmed what her parents' names were.
