    3. Dear List: I have prepared a surname index to the 1880 Lamar County AL census, the images of which are already online, as you probably know. I am trying to get the index on the Lamar Co. GenWeb page but until then, I have added it to my website, along with links to the image files of each page. Here's where to find it: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~saxman/1880_lamar_co__al_census.htm I am hoping that this is one way I can return many of the favors and help that has been given to me by those on this list and others! Hope you find your relatives easier! Allison

    3. Per your request to post to entire list. I am not sure if these relate to any on your list but am listing the ones that match or could possibly match the names: Young, Samuel to Rebecca Kelly at A. B. Black's by J. E. Graves, JP November 18, 1875 Page 555 Young, John H. to Harriet L. Davis at M. L. Davis by J. D. Carter M. L. Davis gave written consent for his daughter. April 28, 1878 Page 39 Young, John H. to L. H. Davis at Wesley Chapel M. E. Church S by E. F. S. Roberts, MG May 6, 1877 On the County part of this marriage record, Sanford County was marked through and Lamar County written. Page 723 Young, M. A. to W. A. Turner at Mrs. M. A. Turner's by D. W. Ward, MG October 30, 1884 Page 349 To possibly help identify the above, I am including this one: Young, Lizzie to Lonnie Burns at M. A. Young's by D. W. Ward, MG S. W. Burns signed note of consent ; also M. A. Young for his daughter September 18, 1884 Page 335 The following does not really match the Martha M. Young name above but on the chance the middle initial may have been misread, I am including it: Young, Martha A. to William R. Collier at J. G. Young's by J. D. Carter, MG November 27, 1881 Page 23 Good luck! 1. Wesley Chapel Cemetery
    2. Location. In Fayette County, AL. T. 16S R. 13W Section 7 I have tried to attach this Wesley Chapel Cemetery Book to emails and it takes about an hour to upload. That is not a very satisfactory operation for getting it to all who may want it. I have looked at trying to convert it to a Web Page (HTML) and post it. No luck with that either. The book is 6,183KB in Microsoft Works Version 4.5. I can remove the cover picture and convert it to RTF at about 57KB and the cover picture in JPEG format at 126KB. Does some one know of a FTP location where I could upload it so every body can get it? Also I am still interested in updating it to the latest 2001 burials so maybe I should hold it ransom so I can get some help with the data since 1984? Cousin Ted Theodore A Edwards 2760 W. 3. Could someone please clarify where the Wesley Chapel Cemetery is, that the recent postings, about the cemetery book, have been talking about. The Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Lamar county is located southwest of Detroit on County Road 8. There is a Wesley Chapel Cemetery located in Fayette county near the Lamar county line, in the Belk community. I have seen postings before, concerning the cemetery in the Belk community, on the Lamar county list. I was just wondering if this cemetery is being confused with the one near Detroit. I am not aware of any such book concerning the Wesley Chapel cemetery neat Detroit, however I did index the cemetery myself several years ago. Thanks, Theresa Whitaker
