http://www.fayette.net/carruth For some unknown reason to me persons using Navigator to view my site can not view some pages or even get into the site. Persons using Internet Explorer report no problem. If you are having problems please let me know. I am attempting to restore all my info since my crash in October and have a bundle of new to put on the site. I would like to find out what the problem is, if anyone knows. I am using Front Page 2000. Thanks, Barbara Woolbright Carruth
Roger & Surratt researchers, In addition to this link with the Pres. Lincoln assisination, there is also a Union Army link; your Capt. Samuel Surratt (CSA, regiment ?) married abt 1836 to Nancy Pennington. Her youngest brother (Ervin/Irwin Pennington) joined the 1st Alabama Cavalry (USV), Pvt, Co H; other brothers were Unionists, thus her nephew, Franklin Pennington Jr. also served 1st Alabama Cavalry, Pvt, Co H; as did nephew Abner Pennington (Pvt, Co H); same for Joseph Pennington (Missouri Cavalry unit); Newton Pennington (Missouri Cavalry unit); probably others for whom I don't have records. Just thought you might want this info in case you don't have it. Dear List: After taking off a couple of weeks to spend time with my family for the holidays, I have resumed transcribing & uploading new records to the Lamar ALGenWeb site! Check out the updates: Smith Family Bios: http://www.rootsweb.com/~allamar2/smith4.htm More Confederate Soldiers from 1907: http://www.rootsweb.com/~allamar2/cw1907.htm And new reunions: http://www.rootsweb.com/~allamar2/reunions.htm I am in the process of combining the "Surnames" page with the "Most Wanted" page so that folks don't have to check two separate pages for those entries. I'm dividing them into the alphabetical letters for easier surfing and printing, too. It will take some time to get them reorganized, but I think the end result will be better for Lamar Co. researchers. As always, suggestions for improvement are welcome! This site was created for all of you Lamar researchers, will only volunteer effort, and we want it to be easy and fun for you to use! Best wishes to all for a great 2002! Allison M. Anyone have any info on the Cash family? I am working on Bo Morris's SAR papers, and need some documentation to prove Henry Cash was the son of Stephen Cash, found on the 1850 Fayette Co. census, Millport area. Stephen has no estate record at Fayette or Lamar courthouses. There's a few years gap in the estate records between the two counties. I guess that is why I can't find anything. Sabra
