Patricia, Thanks for your most generous offer. Could you check for me on a Thomas Jefferson Rodgers, b in (we think) Jefferson Co, AL Sept 12, 1845. All I know of his parents is that his children called their grandfather "Greff". He named his oldest son John F, so I wonder whether Thomas' father was perhaps a John Griffin Rodgers?
