Good afternoon all: I am new to the Jefferson County list, but not new to Jefferson County research. My g-grandparents were in Ensley and Birmingham in the period 1890-1910 and still owned property there as late as the 1930s. I'd like to invite you all to come and visit a new section of pages I have just posted to my personal web site. These pages are scans of the photographs from my G-grandparents' (J. D. Dunn) album. Many of the photographs were made in Birmingham and Ensley and many of them remain unidentified. If you happen to recognize any of the people who are currently unidentified, please let me know. My g-grandfather and g-grandmother were both born in England in the 1860's and came to America in 1887 and 1880 respectively. G-grandfather Dunn worked at the Iron Furnaces in Ensley and elsewhere his entire career, as did many of the members of his family. Some of the photographs are family members, but others are probably friends of the family. None have names on the originals, but over the years I've been able to identify some of them. So come by for a visit. Who knows, you may see a relative. The address is http://www.netease.net/members/edby3/album/JDDunn.htm Edgar Edgar D.
