Rootsweb is making an attenpt to form an 'index' of websites, the RSL and whatever else they can think of for each surname, all accesblie thru one source for each surname. This is a new project and though they are still fine tuning it it looks like it could be very helpful. Start here: http://resources.rootsweb.com/surnames/index.html They are also in the process of creating hundreds of new unsolicited maillists, though some will have to be merged in the next week or so due to duplication of names. I think they are doing this in part to aid in their sales/advertising campaign (since contributions are so low compared to costs) but the added bonus is that you just might find a new maillist that you have been wishing for made a reality!
