For Melba Clark, Thank you for your reply but I made one mistake when I posted,, I forgot to say that I am not a beginner.. I did make a copy of the actual census.. I have been researching since 1994 in 1996 was in Salt Lake. I have been to NARA in DC numerous times, I have been to Philadelphina NARA numerous times. I search in Birmingham about 3 times a year and once in Atlanta NARA,, ( which is a waste of time ) .I am just searching for an old German man who did not want to be found.. The family existing in Birmingham today does not want me to find him .. So, Please,, constructive help please but do not treat me like a beginner.THAT I AM NOT.. .Also,, the actual census pages with ALL THE INFORMATION on it DOES NOT have the maiden name of the mother/wife in 1910. I am looking at a copy of Alabama, ED 95 , sheet 29, line 74.
