Has anyone done any research on Jacob and Elizabeth Nabours who were in Jefferson County, AL in the 1830s/1840s? I'm trying to locate a list of their children if possible, and anything else about them. I'm trying to determine they might be the parents of my Classinda Nabours who married Joseph M. Alexander, as they are living next door to Elizabeth for the 1840 census. I think that Jacob must have died between 1830 and 1840. _IF_ Jacob and Elizabeth were the parents of Classinda, they may have come to AL from SC, as later censuses give her birthplace as SC. I have the following on Jacob and Elizabeth: ---- 1830 census Jefferson Co., AL, p. 164: Nabours, Jacob 2 m 10-15 1 m 40-50 1 f <5 1 f 5-10 2 f 15-20 1 f 30-40 ---- 1840 census, Jefferson Co., AL, p. 205, line 26: Nabours, Elizabeth 1 m 20-30 1 f 5-10 1 f 10-15 1 f 15-20 1 f 40-50 ---- (deed record info?) from _Alabama Records Vol. 18_ (Gandrud), p. 27 "p. 265. Jacob Nabors (x) and his wife Elizabeth Nabors (x) to John M. McMorrough. 15 Nov 1724." (Her 1724 must be a typo?!) I would appreciate hearing anything anyone might have on them.
