I would very much like to learn something about these mines and the mining community on what was at one time called Readers Hill - now the area around Holbrook Ave. in Bessemer and also on Muscoda Hill where there was company housing, some of which still exists. My grandfather was Alcy Vincent Walters. Please contact me if you have any info on either the mining operation or the Walters family of Bessemer.
