Who were the parents of William J. Speer born 1835 in Alabama and died in 1897 in Jefferson County, Alabama. He was married to Jennie who was born in 1845 in Georgia. They had children: Willie Lou, Carl W., Harper W., Maggie and Harry. In 1888 they lived at 1812 Avenue D and in 1889 they lived on 17th street between avenues H and I.
