I guess I am on the list a bit vicariously. My Hudspeth origins are actually from Henry County, AL but I have not been able to go further than Mary J. Hudspeth 1825-1891. The reason I am on the Jefferson County list too is that I have an obit for Mary (paper unknown), that states: "Mrs Mary Hudspath was killed near Birmingham by a train on the Huntsville Branch of the Mineral railroad. She was 64 and leaves 3 sons and 4 daughters." Family lore has it that she died while visiting relatives in the area, but I have no idea if they were Hudspeth kin. I neither know her maiden name or her Husband's first name, although she is listed as widow in the 1880 census. She had sons as well as daughters married into the other names listed above, any of which could have also been who she was visiting. Ron Hudspeth
