Folks, I am subscribed to dozens of these Rootsweb email lists. Ostensibly they are all devoted to genealogy. However, the surname lists are always the most productive when trying to locate data about individuals. >From what I've seen, these "location" lists (e.g. county, state) are more about places and happenings/events. It is inevitable that a portion of the discussions will be about these topics. I almost always find those discussions interesting and contribute if I can. However, if it happens to be about "XYZ Cemetery" and I have no interest in or knowledge about the topic, I just click "delete." It takes less than a second to delete an unwanted message. Having the ability to communicate with all of you on the various subjects that we discuss makes it more than worth my time to delete those emails that I'm not interested in. So, unless the listmaster says "No," then keep 'em coming. Jim Nix (A Jefferson County resident for 55 of my 59 years)
