Rea, How horrible! I live in fear and trembling of that happening to me. I keep an online back up and another offline backup. I'm even considering getting even another offline backup and putting it in a safe deposit box! I'm using a Maxtor Basics 3200 for the offline backup. Do you know what's the difference between that and the One Touch? I suppose the One Touch comes with it's own backup software. My real horror is what would happen to all the hard copy things I have collected over the years in case of a fire - the Family Bibles, the handwritten letters a hundred years or so old, things like that. Birth certificates and such can be re-gathered, but all that original stuff is priceless. Hmm... Maybe I need to get a fireproof file cabinet? Alice
