There is no room for name calling, obsencities, slander or any other personal negatives on this list. This list is for supporting genealogy in Jefferson county Alabama and that is all that is going to be done here. From here on out, anyone saying anything mean or blasphemous to someone else will be, without explanation, bounced from the list. I have requested a new list called ALJEFFER-chat. As soon as I receive notification that it has been set up I will let you know. Meanwhile, this list will only be used for posting genealogical postings or queries, or items that are specfically of geneaological interest. If you want to have a personal conversation then please carry it off list. PLEASE no more emails that consist entirely of "Thank you", "Yes". This list is too large to be able to support that casual type of conversation. I hate this heavy handedness far more than any of the rest of you can even imagine, but there is just no other way to get us back on track. We are all adults here and until the last few weeks we all acted like it. We have always showed consideration in the content of our postings and repect for one another, and we will again. To the vast majority of you who have waited patiently for things to return to normal, I apologize that it is taking so long.
