I've been out of town for most of 2 weeks and just now playing catch up. I have yet to read the emails for this week. The new Rootsweb digest system, as you are probably aware, has all the postings in one email. If you aren't on digest this probably won't apply. It would be helpful to all when reading and responding if - 1. We make sure the subject of our reply is relevant to the posting 2. We delete all postings not relevant to our reply and sometimes leave only a few sentences, or "snip", regarding what we are replying to, enough that our reply makes sense; 3. Delete the "tails" of the postings, those things that tell us how to subscribe, etc. This will make for cleaner postings and we won't be reading the same posting many times over. If we need to refer to a previous posting we can always go to the archives. I am the list administrator for Bibb Co., Ala., and this is what I have asked my "cuzins" to do. I hope the above makes sense. Caroline, Prattville
