Evans, 76, of Minor Heights will be held at 3 p.m. at the Docena Church of God. Mrs. Evans, who died Saturday, will be buried in the Crumley Chapel Cemetery with Bell Funeral Home Directing. Survivors include four sons: Middleton, Thomas G., Aaron Reese and Charles E. Evans, of Birmingham; five daughters, Mrs. Mae Isbell, Mrs. Lillian Turner, Mrs. Margaret Dorsett, Mrs. Mary Scarvey and Mrs. Jane McDonald, of Birmingham, and a sister, Mrs. Lucy Snyder of Trenton, Ga. ---------------------------------------- my comments: Bennie Will TINKER - born ? was in Walker County, Ga on 1910 census with sons, William Middleton, Gordon T. (my dad, changed to Thomas Gordon -b. Jan 26, 1909, d.4-25-1989, Jefferson Parrish, LA.), and Nellie May - others born in Jefferson County, Al. All deceased except Jane Odell EVANS EVANS MCDONALD HOLT (was a twin, Odell & (Ovell deceased age 10),(Odell married her cousin), Margeret Eugene EVANS DORSETT, husband died in mines (?) - still living in Jefferson County, Al. Bennie Will TINKER married Thomas Watson EVANS/AVANS in Dade County, Ga. Charles Edward (Uncle Bo) died in 2002 in Jefferson County or Walker County, lived close to Summiton. Aunt Lucy Snyder died at Milledgeville,1972, in hospital, she owned all the land where I-59 goes thru & around Dade County, Ga, was put in Milledgeville so her children could sell the land for the Interstate. All these people are in The Heritage of Jefferson County, they started the Church of God in Docena. Bennie TINKER's father was Taylor TINKER, he died early,(have no info on him), she was with her mother and three sisters in the 1900 census (?), Dade or Walker County.
