    3. Seeking information about Manila Hale, her parents, siblings, and any other family tree information that may be available..... Manila Hale was born January 23, 1820 and died July 1, 1870. She is buried at the Old Red Hill Cemetery near Pinson, Alabama.......... She was the wife of Peter Anderson 1804-1850, who was three times Sheriff of Jefferson County. More about that can be found at .......... http://www.hueytown.org/historical/Sheriffs_of_Jefferson_County_A.pdf#search=%22Anderson%20Sheriffs%20of%20Jefferson%20County%22 Photographs of their two grave markers at the Red Hill Cemetery can be sent directly to anyone interested. They are ca. 120 KB each, and that is too large for posting at the Rootweb site. Old records indicate that after her husband's death in Madison County in 1812, Margaret Anderson {mother of Peter Anderson} bought and sold land in Tuscaloosa County before eventually moving to the Pinson area of Jefferson County. Thus, it seems possible that the Andersons became acquainted with Hale family during that transition through Tuscaloosa County .... but that clearly is not certain. Any information about Manila Hale and her family would be deeply appreciated. Carl & Martha Thomas, Knoxville, Tennessee

    3. Hey Carl, I can get into Huntsville library databases - maybe I can see if they have anything - got to run to walmart, then be right back - got to check with my sister, she was supposed to go today about scheduling her mastectomy, say a prayer for us - her and her husband got total custody of their grandboys, the children of her daughter Teri, who died in 2002 with ovarian cancer - and last night I was down there at her house and one of the boys, I looked at him and one of his pupils was way larger than the other - thats a sign of a head injury - which he may of got from his daddy when he had them, nearly scared me to death, I mean it was way bigger than the other and was the first thing I saw when I looked at him, he was the baby of the two boys and has not done good since his mother died, his daddy took them the very day Teri died and has never treated like children since 2002, so now my sister has them for good, I sure hope (D.J.) the boy don't have anything wrong in his brain, I don't think we should have to go thru anything else - delilah ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carl & Martha Thomas" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, September 25, 2006 1:43 PM Subject: [ALJEFFER] Manila Hale 1820-1870 | Seeking information about Manila Hale, her parents, siblings, and any | other family tree information that may be available.....
