That would be wonderful. As a new person to this mailing list, I must compliment you all on your helpfulness, your friendliness, and your caring. This is by far the best mailing list I have *ever* joined. Even though I only lived in Birmingham a few years, now I fully understand the term "southern hospitality". You all are the essence of that. The address for the church is 1460 Pearson Avenue, SW, Birmingham, AL 35211. Someone else may remember better than I, but it seems there was/is some talk of closing the church -- perhaps consolidating with another. I did drive by there about a year ago at the time I was finishing up the book Central Park & A Bit Beyond (includes general area and Birmingham info as well as West End High School) and the church looked to be in good condition and very much as I remember it from years ago. I'm pretty sure I have a photo of it "somewhere." Will look later today and if so, will e-mail it to you. Is this a valid address in Birmingham? 1020 25th Street SW Would it be in Blessed Sacrament parish? I think this is where we may have lived in 1942. My dad's name was Paul Kralman....I don't know if there are any phone books around from that era.
