Some of the marriage licenses have parental consent if either the bride or groom were underage. [18 for ladies, 21 for men, back then]. Then one I found had "parental consent attached" but the note was missing. Another one I found had the signed note attached to the page. Most which I have seen have two persons signing bond, usual the groom is one of those signing.
