Kay, That is definitely Reeders Mining Camp. It was located off Highway 150. As you leave Bessemer and start up 14th Street Hill (Highway 150) there is a gap that used to be called Reeder's Gap. This was named for one of my husband's ancestors. Today that area is known as Muscoda. Here is how I read the entry 1920 Jefferson County, Alabama Census, Precinct 2, 1510 Reeders Mining Camp, Roll 20, 29 January 1920, SD 9, ED 2, Sheet 13B, Page 24B, #269/292 EDNEY, C. A. That's the way it was spelled. I also have an old Bible entry that states my grandmother Willie Lillian/Mae GORE was born @ Smythe Mining Camp while her parents lived there in 1900. BTW.......I'm still diggin4 my GORE's :-) Kay __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
