I'll add that The Guarantee Shoe Company also had the "x-ray machine" - sold Stride Rite shoes. Mr. Hartselle was the salesman, perhaps the store manager. (Why do I remember this after 55 years and can't remember what I did yesterday? :) I grew up in Jasper - we shopped in B'ham every month or so. A great day was lunch on the mezzanine at Loveman's and dinner at Joy Young's before heading home. Enjoying the memories - Caroline Horton, Prattville
