Since attachments can not be sent through the RootsWeb server, there is no way you can receive a virus from a RootsWeb list - these lists are safe. Sometimes spammers and senders of viruses forge addresses to make it seem like they come from other addresses - there have been a few times in the past 12+ years when my own netdoor address has been forged and used. Makes me angry, but there is nothing I can do about it.
