    1. Re: [ALJEFFER] East Lake Cemetery
    2. Try contacting the Linn-Henley Research Library, if they cannot help you, then try the Archives there at the Library (it is in the basement of Linn-Henley). Linn-Henley Research Library (205) 226-3665 Archives (205) 226-3630 The Archives has a lot of info on old cemeteries. I have been to the Eastlake Cem many times, my husband has relatives buried there. There have been no burials there for many, many, years. I recently obtained a photo of a now defunct hotel to send to bobomama. They had a picuture of that hotel, and information on it as well. Linn-Henley Research Library - Research Dept 2100 Park Place Birmingham, AL 35203 The folks in the research dept of this library are wonderful and they take the time to help you any way they can, you might also try contacting them online. I am sure they have an e-mail address also. As to who would have the records, the Archives might be able to help you there, as it might have who originally owned the cemetery (what church) etc. There have been a lot of changes in EastLake in recent years. Many churches have closed and changed hands. I have a number of photos that I took there at the cem several years ago. Unfortunately that cemetery has also suffered from a lot of horrific vandalism (stones broken, defaced, tumped over, etc). Some of the stones have been defaced to the point they are unreadable.
