The Aaron TAYLOR you mentioned is my ggg-grandfather. His name was TAYLOR. I have not found any connection between Aaron TAYLOR's line and the TYLER families who lived near him. Aaron moved with his parents from NC to Rutherford Co., TN, where he married Martha Daniel in 1816. They had moved to Jefferson Co., AL after selling land in TN in late 1818. Aaron is mentioned in Mary Gordon Duffee's column in the "Weekly Iron Age" printed in Birmingham, Alabama, 9 Dec 1886, along with info about his brother, Jesse, and some of their Taylor cousins.
