This cemetery is on Sheridan Rd. in Pratt City adjacent to Greenwood Cometery, approximately one-half mile west of Ave. W. Copied by Mabel Wallace in 1984. Some inscriptions, too wron to read or now missing, were added from the 1930s WPA records. At the time the WPA compiled the census records form the Fraternal and Greenwood Cemeteries they treated them as one cemetery. I would be interested to know if you know anything about the migration. I am looking for more details for the family of William "Bill" Evans. Bill was bo 25 Dec 1860 and married Amanda C. Griffis 22 Nov 1884 Roane Co., TN. He died 5 Feb 1928 in Jefferson Co., AL and is buried at Walker Chapel, Jefferson Co., AL. Five of their children were born in TN. The sixth one, Hurley Edward was born 1895 or 1896, Avondale, Jefferson Co., AL. Bill's sister, Sarah Evans Coggins (husband, Aaron) has one son, Walter. Walter was born in Ducktown, TN, 6 Jan 1888. They also migrated to Jefferson Co., AL. Both Bill's and Sarah's families are found on the 1900 census in Jefferson Co., AL. Family tradition say they came in a covered wagon.
