Can anyone give me the exact location of the Chamblee Cemetery? I found a book at the library in B'ham in which the location was listed as being 1 block East of Highway 79 in the Tarrant Pinson area. I stopped at 2 fire stations, 1 police headquarters and numerous places of businesses in both areas to find that no one had ever heard of it nor had any idea where it might be from the description taken from the book. I was also looking for a Martin Cemetery which I located in B'ham behind the Central Park Methodist Church between Terrace R & Court R off the Bessemer Hwy. which was established by 1850. This was not easy to locate but upon doing so I found it enclosed in a fenced area and was locked. There was an old sign indicating that it was designated by a Historical Society or Commission; however, the grounds were heavily overgrown with weeds and included uprooted trees. How would I go about getting entry into this cemetery? Perhaps this is a good one for you, Ed.
