Jackie, I understand your questioning the time involved. I thought the same thing when I ordered a my first book from another county. That was before I saw a little of what was involved in the putting together of the books. Remember that the work is being done be unpaid-volunteers!!!! The submission deadline had been extended to March 31. There is an incredible number of stories submitted. There is a lot of time and work involved in processing them both before and after submission to the publisher. They have to be proofed, photos taged, numbered, etc and all kinds of things to ensure that the correct photos are with their story, and returned to the proper person. This is just part of what I have seen.
