HALES has purchased the four houses and lots belonging to Mr. FAYETT fellow the two railroads on South side. Mr. George Harding and Mrs. Minnie KELLEY were untied in marriage by Elder P. J. POWELL about 10 a.m. last Sunday at the home of the bride's parent near Slope No. 2. Clara, the little two year old child of Mr Walter GARDNER of the South side, died of measles and pneumonia last Monday might about 12 o'clock. Her remains were taken to Shelby county for interment. About a year ago Mr. GARDNER had lost a little boy at the same place.... Mr. J. B. AIRD has commenced the erection of a handsome two-story residence on the car line between the homes of Mr. W. R. LEE and Mr. Job GOING. Mr. W. E. GRAHAM left Thursday night for Louisville and will be absent for some time. " Below the Surface" Slope No. 6. Check weighman Mike TRAVIS is on the sick list. John McMICHAEL is filling his place. Slope No. 3 Married at the residence of the bride Sunday, at 10 o'clock a.m., April 3, Mr. George HARDING, night weigh boss, to Miss Minnie KELLEY. Plummer HARBOUR and Sibe TERRY are both idle on account of being sick with measles. The child of Mr. B. COOPER has been quite sick for the last few days, but is now recovering. J. H. TETLOW and John COX, Sr., are quite sick. "Personal" Mr Ed BIBBS of Warrior, visited his niece, Mrs. Pat FELTON, Jr., Wednesday, evening. M. E. DONALDSON left Monday for Ohio, where he will spend two or three months visiting friends and relatives. Miss Mary GILLIAN , of Bessemer, has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. KIRK this week.
