    2. Thanks to all the nice folks on this list who provided me with help and guidance. I now have some concrete data to go on. Here are the results. The Huey & McConnell Company of Bessemer was only in business from 1915-1925. Their records are now maintained at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Bessemer and will be given to the Birmingham Public Library probably later this year. I talked to the caretaker, Perry Nunnally, today and he was very willing to help and is mailing me what data they have on my grandmother and her family. Their phone number is 205/428-1414. Keep up the good work and thanks again to the list for the help. I have an obit and death certificate for my Grandmother (Ruby Mae LYLE CARNES) who died 12/13/1918 in Bessemer in the influenza epidemic. Neither of these documents are very helpful. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Tom Carnes >>
