It was noted that if there has been a solid brick fire wall dividing the Allison store from the other stores, the fire could have been contained to the room where it started. At the city council meeting on Wednesday, it was decided that nothing but stone, brick or iron buildings were to be erected. there was also a committee to decide about houses. A fire district was to be established. "GRAYSVILLE" Mr. John WEST has sent his family to Warrior for the benefit of his little boy which has been in bad health. Mrs. Flora AVIERETT is spending a few days in Pratt City with her people this week. Mrs. L. W. DAVIS of East Birmingham is in our little city visiting her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. TOGGANS. W. C. GRAY has returned from Carrolton, GA wherehe went some few days ago to take his family. Mrs. Oscar GRAY has been very sick but we are glad to hear she is slowly recovering. Our friend Mr. JONES has returned from Brookwood where he has been visiting friends. Mr. PHILLIPS loves singing. He is often seen out on his front porch looking over in the yard. Now, Willie, you must stop.
