List, Well, you idiots have finally accomplished what you set out to do a few days ago. You have, by your incessant and insignificant remarks, driven away one of the most dedicated list masters on the entire Board. I hope that you, Delilah, find something else to occupy your time than always finding fault with someone who has ran this list very successfully for the last eight year. You might even try getting a job ( Born Poor, Poor Now ). Up until now I have found the list to be a very good source or information. I grew up in Mt. Pinson in the 40's and 50's, and have a lot of relatives in the Pinson, Bradford, and Leeds area. It really pains me to see this list going in this direction, and the loss of our great List Master is the last straw . Good luck with your tirades, Delilah. jim and deb, Psycho, and Rae. You will be lucky to have someone take over this List, or maybe we should just call it a Jefferson County chat room. I resent your comment about tirades. I have only used this list for about a week now; I have been trying to find info on my family. OH, GOOD GRIEF! I really don't think that any of these people who have been chatting about Birmingham have caused our list administrator to quit. That's not what I got from reading her e-mail at all. Did you not read her first paragraph? Rather, people who have been unsubscribing are probably the reason, and why are they unsubscribing? Who knows?! Who cares?! I, myself, do not find these conversations at all offensive and I only had ancestors there from about 1823 until 1844, and I have never lived there. As a matter of fact, because of the flurry of activity, which was not THAT great before these conversations started, I have actually gotten a couple of replies to my query regarding my Johnson's and Ashby's. But there are complainers on every list, that's one thing for sure, an abundance of them, too! I wish Nancy well and thank her very much for all her hard work.
