    3. subscribe please.... I am in need of your help there in Jefferson County. My DICKINSON'S/DICKERSON'S were there in 1830-1850 according to the census. They're names were JOHN, JOSEPH, JOEL, JAMES. the cnesus says in Carolsville Dist. Does anyone know where that would be? I have land records that say twp 18 does anyone know where that would be? I believe one of these men was my GGGrandfather Joseph C. Dickinson's father. He was born there ca. 1825. He married his cousib LUKITTY , she was born in GA, 1827. I don't know if she was a DICKINSON or not. There is probably a marriage record for them there around 1848-1850? James and Nancy (Ware) Dickinson were part of this family. They were married May 20, 1833 there, and moved to Pontotoc Co, MS. by 1844. Are there any old newspapers there that would date back to this time period? What about wills, Cemetry records? Does anyone have cemetry books they can check for me? Would someone be so kind and willing to answer these questions? Maybe someone could tell me of a good researcher there to look up records for me. Thank you all kindly. Please e-mail me at my private e-mail address. sbarnea@clarkston.com. Thanks sue

    1. [ALJEFFER-L] Rootsweb index of surnames
    2. Nancy DeVore Williams
    3. Rootsweb is making an attenpt to form an 'index' of websites, the RSL and whatever else they can think of for each surname, all accesblie thru one source for each surname. This is a new project and though they are still fine tuning it it looks like it could be very helpful. Start here: http://resources.rootsweb.com/surnames/index.html They are also in the process of creating hundreds of new unsolicited maillists, though some will have to be merged in the next week or so due to duplication of names. I think they are doing this in part to aid in their sales/advertising campaign (since contributions are so low compared to costs) but the added bonus is that you just might find a new maillist that you have been wishing for made a reality! 2. Vivian Sternenberg
    3. Hello, I am new to this list. I am searching information on the STERNENBERG, WITTE, PULS surnames, from the Birmingham area. My webpage has some of the information that I know about my husband's family and I have a little bit more that recently was sent to me, that I need to add. I am having trouble finding the STERNENBERG family on any of the census records. I have most of the Forest Hill Cemetery information with photos of Sternenberg, Witte and Puls graves, but one Sternenberg is evading me. Hugo A. Sternenberg. We can't seem to be able to locate where he is buried. Thank you.
