Hello all Just want to refresh my query and see if anyone in or around Jefferson County has any information on a now defunct town called, Henryellen. This town was a thriving community outside of Birmingham, complete with it's own PO, Railway and freight station, newspaper, etc. the period I am interested in is 1886 - 1889. Archives is of no help (no references to it) Any info from any source would be appreciated, especially interested in, cemetery, city directory, census, anything........for that area, I am not picky. Thanks in advance......Michael......truloff695@aol.com

I am still researching my family in Jefferson County and can't honestly say that I have learned much more than I have since I first started --- about 5 years ago. My Harris family lived in Pinson, AL., Section 5, Township 16, Range 1west. The Goodwin's also seem to have owned property in Range 16 and later in Township 14, Range 3 West. My gg grandfather (General Marion Harris) disappeared in the Civil War and I have been unable to learn what happened to him. His parents are officially unknown, although they were probably Joel Harris and Sally Swinney. General may have had brothers named William M., James M., and John P. Harris. Any new information would be gladly accepted. Kristina Harris Washington State

Hi Angela, Sandy and list, I am sorry to read that someone is being disgusting, offensive and stupid. It is sad that when someone takes the fun out of things for everyone else. Anyway, I did a little quick research (as the list owner) and there's no one receiving mail from this maillist to that address. When I sent a query to that address I was told (automatedly) that it didn't exist. I think I kind of came in on the tail end of this. College finals start next week and I barely know my own name right now. Anyway, if anyone else is getting this type of mail and you think it has something to do with this list please let me know and we'll see what we can do to find the source. Now...we have over one hundred people receiving this e-mail message and there's not been much talk at all about genealogy lately. Anyone in the mood for a litttle 'ROLL CALL".......????
The best thing to do is ignore him. The majority of the researchers out there are nice people. He is in the minority. Don't waste your time on him. >Hate to hang out some of my dirtious laundry. >I just came home from the Hospital for the second time. >My Computer had crashed.
