Melba, Do you have information about County Line Cemetery, which I am told is south of Oneanta, Ala. Don't know if this is St. Clair or Blount County. I have also been told that there is a "Straight Mtn. Cemetery". Are you familiar with either of these? BG PIPER (Tx.)
Does anyone know of? b. 6/25/1884. Practiced medicine with the late Sen. Lister Hill's father. Died at a early age. Lived in Ensley Heights. At one time his picture hung at UAB Med Center. Probably buried in B'ham, but I don't have dod or cemetery. I would be most grateful for any information! Margaret Hester Kannensohn
I would be extremely cautious when visiting this cemetery. I used to work very close to it and it is not in a safe area. Paul

Charles F Mayer was a contractor in Jefferson County AL. He married Sarah Adeline Keith, daughter of Ab and Nancy Bullard Keith, in Jefferson County in 1891. In 1913 he was killed in a motorcycle accident in Springville Al. I have much information on his descendants, escpecially through son Charles Frederick, born in Elyton, but would be VERY interested in any other connections and in his life. He is said to have laid brick for Morris Avenue in Birmingham and built many homes in Argo Al, where Addies parents were. He lived in Woodlawn and in East Lake as well as Velma Station and Gilbert Station (where are these places?) Thanks Doris Mayer Reece Branchville Alabama
