Dianne, Pratt City is on the east side of B'ham, off Hwy 78. Eansley and Wylam are other suburbs in the area. Pratt City was part of the steel mfg area that was so predominant in Bham several years ago. E. D. I am searching for information on my paternal grandmother, Mary Frances "Molly" WILLINGHAM. She was married to William Clayton KEITH who was born in Cleburne County, Alabama. They had the following known children: Essie, Clara Belle, William Claude, Dennis, Fred, Roscoe, Andrew. There may have been others. I remember as a child hearing that W.C. KEITH killed Mary Frances' father (his father-in-law) during an argument in St. Clair County, Ala. W.C. and Mary Frances then took the children to New Orleans where he later left her. She later married Austin Riley (Reilly). They came to Birmingham, where she lived most of her life. She died in Birmingham, Alabama in 1950. I think she may have been born in St. Clair County, Alabama. I know she had at least one sister, Alma Lee Willingham. I have no other information and any lead will be appreciated. Thank you, Joan Keith Bonnett

I have no idea if this will connect, but I know that a Miss Edna D. Nail retired June 30, 1956 from the City of Birmingham after 24 years service. She was either the secretary of the Engineering Department or the secretary of the City Engineer, J. D. Webb, who retired at the same time. I have her signature on J. D. Webb's will. Alice Campbell
My thanks to Nancy for posting my message concerning Possum Valley Cemetery in Brighton, AL. I just noticed one rather glaring error in my message -- unfortunately, I canNOT answer any questions other than what I've read on the Birmingham News website: http://www.al.com:80/news/birmingham/Mar2000/8-xcemeter.html I apologize for my typo. I would, however, be interested in additional information any member of this group may have on this situation.
