I don't know exactly where in the county she lived and like I said I don't know her second husband's last name. The children are Ella, Julia and James Gray. She and Jabez were married in Montgomery County,MS. That's all I know. Except she died young too. Before James was grown. He was raised by his sister. MM
Have you tried to find her in the census? Where was she married to Jabez Gray and where did she marry the man from Jefferson county? What are the names of her 3 children and where were they born? This is just a shot in the dark BUT I was just wondering if someone may have some information on my Greatgrandmother. She was Cornelia Lowe married Jabez Gray in MS right after the Civil War. He died leaving her with 3 small children. She married a man from Jefferson County. I have no idea who he was. Maybe someone might know of her through being related to this man. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!! MaryMargaret
Hello Melba, You shared with me that Clyde Ratliff's aunt (Sarah) was buried in McCombs cemetery. Do you by chance have her dates? Does she have a stone? I want to hire someone to photograph the cemetery for me, but I need to collect a little more info. Thanks for checking if you have time! Kelly Culpepper, Llano TX

Their names are: Edwin Jasper Barksdale and Evalina Cassandra Barksdale I remember the location of their graves in East Lake Cemetery from many years ago (1950's). They were located about 75-100 feet to the left as you enter the old arched entrance facing the alleyway. I am absolutely positive of their location. When I revisited the cemetery last year, I was surprised to find that the tombstones no longer existed (vandalized?), and consequently I was unable to locate the graves. I would like to know if these names are listed in your survey, and if there is anyone I might ask about the disappearance of the tombstones. This would be of great value to me, and I hope that my request does not cause you any difficulty. Thank you in advance. - Ken Kronimus - [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
Looking for information regarding parents of Sarah Payne (b. 1826) who married Anderson Quinn (b. 1821) on July 14, 1841. They resided in Jefferson County, Alabama and possibly Walker County for a time. Children were LaVina, Milberry, Manerva Elizabeth, William, E.J., Melissa, Hugh, Sarah J., John, Daniel Floyd, Oliver Preston, Geroge N., Robert and Burrell or W.P. Burrell. Also interested in connecting with descendants of these folks and bringing files up to date and sharing pictures.

who is hunting this name?
Yep. I even found the representation of my house by moving across Jefferson County and going to the larger scale. For those who don't know, topography is defined as the "disposition of the major natural and man-made physical features of the earth's surface, such as would be entered on a map. This may include forests, rivers, highways, bridges, etc., as well as contour lines of elevation." Kay, I'd suggest playing with that site yourself. I don't know exactly how it works. I found it during a Google search for "Muscoda," where I started to school looong ago. It looks like it could be a helpful site to us.
