    1. Re: [ALJEFF] me
    2. Delilah, I live in Birmingham as well. One of my doctors here (at Brookwood Hospital) is Dr. John Riser. He is a neurologist and I have utmost respect for and admiration of him. Of all the doctors I've been to (not that many, but they seem to be increasing in number as my ailments increase in my old age!), Dr. Riser is my favorite -- so sweet, so patient, shows interest in everything you say. Sometime back I had what was diagnosed as a "TIA", or Transient Ischemic Attack (a very minor stroke). I was referred to him by an assistant to my cardiologist. (Dr. Riser specializes in stroke victims, but is very knowledgable about the entire nerve system.) If you would be interested in contacting him and will send me your personal e-mail address I'll be glad to give you his office phone number. Or, if you have access to a Birmingham Phone Directory, you can look it up. He and his wife are in practice together. Don't know if this would be of interest to you, but just thought I'd tell you about Dr. Riser in case you might be interested. He will listen intently to everything you have to say and either he will take action or he will refer you to someone who may be in a better position than he for your particular needs. I have complete trust in him and his opinions/advice. God bless you and keep you safe. 1. [ALJEFF] WAKE UP DORA!
    2. Delilah
    3. I have just finished reading an article in the little magazine "American Profile" that they put in with the newspapers - did you in Dora know you had a "VIP", actually 2, a woman school bus driver by the name of Sarah GRIGSBY of Fultondale and the author of the article, Judy Woodward BATES. It is very good, this little magazine has some of the most interesting and informational articles for something small that I have ever read, I collect them and keep them in a notebook. So now why have you not told me about this? My mother was a school bus driver in Auburn, that was the only way we got to ride the bus because if you lived in the city limits, you could not ride the school bus, you had to walk or get a ride. So be on the look-out for bus #05-89 and take care of her, she has to be a great person, even when mother drove a bus, the children were at times unruly, but nothing like today - I remember being able to open the door for pick ups (what a great and important job), also when the bus would stop at railroad crossings (and I mean STOP), I got to run across the tracks to look for a train and motion the bus across the tracks, that was a highlite of my school days, it was a VERY important job. delilah evans

My great grandmother died in 1910 in East Lake and her funeral was handled by Vice Funeral Home. She was buried in what was called Bellview Cemetery but I have never been able to locate just exactly where it was. One of my mother's cousins drove with me once before she passed away to where she thought she remembered going to the funeral when she was young but we never found any sign of a cemetery. We had also gotten the address from a 1910 Birmingham City Directory and it was a residential area. It was in the area that she remembered but there was no cemetery to be found. All the houses in the area looked to have been built in the early 1900's up to maybe 1930 time frame. 3. Since attachments can not be sent through the RootsWeb server, there is no way you can receive a virus from a RootsWeb list - these lists are safe. Sometimes spammers and senders of viruses forge addresses to make it seem like they come from other addresses - there have been a few times in the past 12+ years when my own netdoor address has been forged and used. Makes me angry, but there is nothing I can do about it.
