I'm interested in getting in touch with families in the vicinity of Stevenson where Elijah Foshee/Forshee and Thomas Obadiah Smith settled . Elijah Foshee is believed to have gotten land in Jackson County around 1852 but he wasnt on the 1850 censes there. My line is Elijah's son, Wesley. and his son Thomas Jefferson Foshee, on to his son Charlie Columbus Foshee, my grandfather. He married Carrie Martha Smith. Thomas Obadiah Smith's daughter, Carrie Martha, is my grandmother. Thomas 's brothers and sisters were John Henry, Wm Spencer, Mary E., James Macberring, Martha Jane, and Dorothula M.
