I am searching for the parents of James Berry Roberts born 12 Jan 1843. He married Nancy Warren born 15 April 1848. Both Nancy and James were born in Alabama, probably Jackson County. I have been unable to prove James parents, but believe he may be the the son of John Roberts. John Roberts and wife Elizabeth appear on the 1850 census Jackson County with a son Berry age 9. John does not appear on the 1860 census, but I do find James B., his brother Abraham and sister Mary A. residing in the household of Zach Matlock. James and Nancy are found on the 1870 and 1880 census in Jackson County (Big Coon PO). In 1880 they left with Nancy's parents, Zach and Rebecca Warren, for Logan County Arkansas. Any information on James parents or siblings would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris
