I am looking for info on Lewis Clark b. 1763 who lived in Jackson Co. from about 1829 until he died in 1842.. I think he might be the father of Henry Clark who bought land in 1838 Jackson Al and was on the 1840 and 1850 census there. I have the following on Lewis Clark b. 1763 and if there is anyone who can correct this information please do Because at this point it is only a guess. Lewis was born in VA and a REV war soldier he married the first time around 1784 in VA Married the 2nd time to Sarah Rogers in 1800 Dindwiddie VA moved to KY from ca 1800 - before 1820 1820 he was in Franklin Tn ca 1829 he went to Jackson AL Total of census records I have found List him with these MALES 2 males 1784-1794 1 male1794-1800 2 males 1800-1810 2 males1810-1820 1 male 1820-1830 1 male 1830-1835 Soon after he arrived in Jackson AL a Issac, James, John R, and Lewis all bought land there within months of each other.
