There are names that are common to Halifax Co. VA, Cocke Co. TN and Jackson Co. AL. Has anyone traced ancestors through these three places? I have a LEWIS family that moved from Halifax Co. VA to Cocke Co. TN abt 1810. Then, some of them moved to Jackson Co. AL in mid-1800's. Also, have HICKS and CHILDRESS that may have followed the same pattern. Patti Kruger
