Imogene, My family reportedly came from NC, no supporting documents yet just family story. They come thru TN and we start finding a little documentation there. Finally Dade Co GA where I have better information, the interesting thing is there are some land records from DeKalb and Jackson Counties AL..the DeKalb land was in the names of William Allison (1847, 1850 dates of transactions) and later his sons Hugh Lawson White Allison (1867 date of transaction) and Robert Allison (1852) Jackson Co land was in the names of Robert Allison (same as above) in Oct 1847, a deal with ?Emanual R Dunham? My road block is finding Williams parents and his brothers and sisters. I was hoping that they might be in Alabama in DeKalb or Jackson. William (Lee?) and Catherine Allison, Williams DOB 4-13-1793? and DOD 2-6-1852 Trenton Dade Co GA. Catherine's DOD 2-20-1853. Their children: Hugh Lawson White dob 5--20-1822 Bedford Co TN, DOD 6-7-1884 Rising Fawn Dade Co GA Polly Amandy Allison dob 8-15-1823 Robert Allison dob 12-11-1824, married Martha Coppinger, later Elizabeth Bryant Susannah Allison dob 3-23-1826, married Alexander Coppinger Sarah (Sally) Allison dob 10-23-1827, married Richard Jones William Allison dob 7-26-1829, died young John Allison dob 5-29-1831 married Mary Elizabeth Wakefield Julian Allison dob 2-10-1833 George Allison, dob 4-6-1836 married Melissa ? and later Emily J McGehee Would be happy to share other information with you....thanks.
