Hello, My Jackson County names are ASHLEY and PRINCE. My ggggrandparents, James and Phoebe ? Ashley came form SC to Jackson CO. THey were thereby 1815, when my gggrandfather Daniel was born, and also is brother Willis in 1816, who turned out to be a gggrandfather also. According to 1850 census they lived there until about 1833, because son Michael was born in TN. They had moved across the state line into Franklin CO. TN. Another of their sons, James Jordan owned 2400 acres in Franklin County at one time, with another brother Elias. There are still some of my Ashley cousins in both states and also the counties. Another set of ggggrandparents were Jesse and Delilah Carter Prince and Zachariah and Susannah Prince. Both families moved to Jackson County about 1832. Zachariah and Susannah moved their family to Hot Springs County, summer 1854. At some point after that, Jesse and Delialh moved to Fannin County, GA, as they are in the 1860 census there. Then they disappear before 1870, apparently dieing, but we don't not know for sure. Both Prince brothers became my ggggrandparents, as my grandparents, who married in 1910, were descended from them. There are still Prince Counsins in Jackson co. Would love to hear from them Ethel Taylor Bandony1@cs.com 55500 Bates Rd.
