I am working on finding the parents of my great-grandfather William M. DOTSON born ca. 1840 in Tennessee (?). He enlisted in the Alabama 4th Calvary, Russell's Rangers in 1862 in Stevenson, Alabama. After the war he settled in Wilkes County, NC. I am trying to find our all I can about the DOTSON/DODSON family in this area prior to 1860. Also, does anyone have any Wilkes County, NC family connections? I am still trying to figure out how he ended up in NC. Thanks! Debra Debrad2823@aol.com
