    1. [ALJACK] Jackson Co. Al
    2. Hi, My Jackson County folks are ASHLEY and PRINCE. James and Phoebe Ashley moved to Jackson Co, from SC about 1814. My 2 great great grandfathers, Daniel and Willis were born there in 1815 and 1816 I don't know just where in jackson County they were, but Daniel in later census was in Paint Rock Valley. Then, by 1850, James and Phoebe had moved across the state line into Franklin County, TN (or in one of the changes of the state line, they ended up on the TN side) Willis lived in Franklin Co. In 1880 Daniel and Family moved to Clark Co. AR, some of his children stayed in TN and AL, Some of Willis's children also moved to AR, Hot Springs CO, Willis moved there about 1890. Jesse and Delilah Carter Prince and brother Zachariah and Susannah Prince moved to Jackson Co about 1832, settling in Paint Rock Valley around Estill Fork. In 1860 Jesse and Delilah were in Fannin Co. Ga. and apparently died there before 1870. Zachariah and Susannah moved their family to Hot Springs Co. AR in 1854, and died there, their family moving into OK and other places after 1900. There are still a lot of Jesse and Delilah's descendents left in Paint Rock Valley and Jackson County around Estill Fork. 1. Wilkerson - Woosley
    2. Hi, I'm new to the list and have just started working on my husband's Wilkerson and Woosley lines. The E. R. WILKERSON family, 1860 Jackson Co census, was: E. R. Wilkerson 51 b NC Jane 37 b TN John 16 b AL Sam'l 14 b AL Columbus 3 b AL Margaret 10/12 b AL (my husband's gggrandm) Elizabeth Cowhorn 58 b TN (probably Jane's mother and name probably Caughron) Margaret married Elijah WOOSLEY (he was in his 70's and she was his 2nd or 3rd wife). Although they were married and lived in Marshall County, I think Elijah is connected to the WOOSLEYs in Jackson Co., and I think his father is probably Thomas Woosley who is living next to him in the 1860 Marshall Co census. Is anyone out there working on these lines? Mary Jane Powell

    3. If my ancestor left Va. in 1852 and was in Jackson co Al in 1852, does anyone know what was the migration route to tie these two together. I am asking what route ran from Va. through Jackson. I thought I might find a route that was traveled to decide what part of Va. he came from.
