In my humble opinion... it is a "piddly" publication with what little bit of local news and surrounding area news they left out of the Eagle, which I don't like either!!! It is put out by the same publishers as The Dothan Eagle and everyone I know says that if it were not for the obituaries, they would just drop their suscription! They are strictly for business and not really all that interested in local news or community activities. They do make a stab at it though. We have had to beg for the past two years to get the tiniest bit of information out on the Houston County Heritage Book so now, when it comes out, some people are going to say... "Well! I surely wish I had known about it!" Sorry to be the bearer of such news; but, it's true! If you subscribe to The Dothan Eagle, you can pay $1 more and get The Dothan Progress. A bargain??? No!
