I cannot find anything on Gillis Cooley. He just shows up. All I know is what I've seen on census records, and his say his father was born in NC, mother SC. I believe he is my Cherokee Indian link, but having difficult time finding records. If I come across anything that links to your Cooley, I'll most definitely let you know. There's another John Cooley in Indiana doing searches for Cooley's in FL. Anneta
