My wife's father's family from Houston county, Alabama is connected to both some Kirklands and Commanders. Maude Joiner (we have her date of birth, but can't get to it right now), daughter of Frank C. Joiner b.1883, married a Kirkland but we do not know his name. Belle Joiner b.abt. 1896, and sister of Frank, married Sollie Foy Commander. Once again, I have the marriage dates but can't get to them right now. I just thought with all the coincidences that there may be a connection.
