First, no matter how old I get, it is Jim. I know I was taught and say Mr. and Mrs. and Yes Mam and Yes Sir, but I'm just Jim. Second, I suck at finding volunteers for other counties. I spent years trying. Third, If I could clone myself 66 times plus me, I could handle it. Fourth, my expertise is here and is shared with anyone that seeks it out. I can help set up ColdFusion pages and Hostek.com has reasonable ColdFusion prices. My Virtual Cemetery is there. ColdFusion can make just about anything interactive via a database. We use ColdFusion at the Clerk's office, it drives the Volunteer forms and allows transcriptions and indexing to be done on any of our documents from anywhere in the world, but you first have to have online documents. ColdFusion uses database information to build html pages on demand. It is a fairly simple code. Lastly, like I said there is so much here to do, I have about 30 cemeteries that we have photographed that I need to edit, build databases for and deploy for Volunteers to add the info from the stones. We are still fighting to get something into the legislature that separates Ancient Records from Modern day Court Files. Our Local Representative is into history and says he supports us, but can he pull off something in Tallahassee. We will see. For Now, I have to turn you down, I don't often say "no", but I believe it is in our mutual best interests that I do say that awful word. I will be here just in case any one taking on Florida or a ColdFusion site could use my help. Please just one more try? Really, with the plans that we have for tapping into all the different types of social media, the volunteer recruitment committee the marketing committee and a load of other things then perhaps you won't have to HUNT for volunteers.....they'll come to you. Just getting a state site up is the primary thing right now. THAT has to come first. Take the site....do the cemeteries as you want to. Find an assistant or we'll help you find one if we can....if you want one, that its. I know what its like to have way too much to do....most of us are the same. I could give you a long list of things I'm behind on...... We have states site managers that are doing the whole state, Colleen, for one does all of Alaska. Just give us another chance.
